Back in March, BestMVNO reported that LycaMobile was prepping the launch of another brand, Cube Mobile. At that time, some test websites for the brand were discovered, but they quickly disappeared after the article was published. Now, one of those websites has been turned back on to signify the official launch of Cube Mobile.
Update: The Cube Mobile website has gone back into password protected mode. However, their apps are still available in the Google Play and Apple app stores.
The launch comes with a limited time promotional offer, all Cube Mobile plans are free. The free plan offer applies to all monthly plans. Cube Mobile is also offering 3 months free to customers who sign up for a 3 month plan or an annual plan. Their website pitches "get 3 months absolutely free plus 50% off for the next 9 months." Their flagship offering is a 50GB plan.
The free plan offer is available to the first 10,000 Cube Mobile subscribers. Aside from the special promotional offer, the plans appear to be the same as what were previously reported here at BestMVNO, with coverage provided by the AT&T network.

Below are what I believe to be Cube Mobile's standard rates and what were previously reported. The Cube Mobile website is currently structured to highlight and exaggerate the biggest possible savings available on its multi-month discount plan offerings. So their true standard multi-month rates aren't being shown like they were on the test site.

Cube Mobile's plans are available through instant activation via eSIM. All plans come with unlimited talk and text to global numbers. They also promote that you can "roam like at home in Canada and Mexico." Taxes and fees are extra.
According to their FAQs hotspot is included with each plan, but they don't specify if you can use all of your plans on device data for hotspot or not. Cube Mobile phone plans do not include priority data. Your data speeds will slow down when the network is busy compared to other customers on the network who have a plan with priority data. Videos stream at a resolution of 480p. Data is unlimited but speeds will be reduced once the high-speed allotment on a plan has been reached. Cube Mobile does not specify what the throttled data speeds are. I think their test website initially showed 256Kbps, but I no longer see that on their live website.
If you are interested in trying out Cube Mobile's plans right now you do not even need to create an account with them. You can checkout your lines as a guest. However, you will still have to supply an email address and either a credit card, debit card, Apple Pay or Google Pay information. I went through the checkout process as far as I could with a plan without actually buying it. Based on my test of the checkout process, it appears that taxes and fees are not being charged with the free plan offers.
Editor's Take
This is a free plan offer that doesn't appear to have any real catches, so of course I'm going to call it a great deal. My biggest concern would be that it's a new provider, which I typically recommend caution with. However, this is backed by an established brand, LycaMobile. For better or for worse, that may change how you feel about them. LycaMobile is a global brand operating in many countries. Their aspirations for Cube Mobile may be the same. Cube Mobile is not just a brand in the USA, they also launched in Spain. The lone Instagram post from Cube Mobile Spain would seem to indicate that they launched in 2023.
